Tsg DNA Polymerase
This is a thermostable DNA polymerase isolated from a strain of Thermus sp. designed for primer-extension reactions. Tsg is more stable than many other DNA polymerases, with a half-life of 3 hours at 95°C. Like Taq DNA Polymerase, Tsg has an independent terminal transferase activity, which results in the addition of a single adenosine at the 3′ end of the PCR products, so that TA cloning vectors can be used.
